MONTESSORI EDUCATION CENTER OF THE ROCKIES

The Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in Boulder, Colorado, offers three American Montessori Society preparation programs to answer the growing demands of Montessori education in the Rocky Mountain community. The academics offered at the center include Montessori education courses for three different age groups: * Infant and Toddler * Early Childhood * Elementary I-II All courses include a nine-month student teaching practicum, during which students will work under the guidan... ce of qualified Montessori teachers at local schools. Some students may have the ability to earn money while completing this practicum. Seminars are held every weekend during the nine-month period. To make sure its students are on the way to become honorable members of the American Montessori Society, students must satisfactorily complete competency evaluations at every seminar. To avoid being waitlisted, the school recommends that applicants submit their applications before April 1 of the prior academic year. Admissions require students to have received a high school diploma, while Elementary level courses require students to have earned a bachelor’s degree. Students who don’t have a bachelor’s may earn an associate’s credential by completing Infant and Toddler or Early Childhood courses. The American Montessori Society rewards eligible students who have completed a scholarship application with partial scholarships each year. The center is approved to offer Title IV financial aid options to students demonstrating need.More
