MOOTRAL
Mootral is a British-Swiss AgriTech company tackling two of the biggest crises of the world: climate change and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Our first two solutions focus on reducing methane emissions from ruminants and eliminating the use of antibiotics in monogastric livestock. Mootral's mission is to equip the world with tools to produce food that is safe and sustainable - for the planet and for humans & animals alike. Headquartered in the UK, Mootral is a biotech company with a team tha... t has decades of experience in the discovery, isolation, stabilization, modulation and scaling of bioactive molecules of natural origin, as well as the creation of novel small molecules. Vertically integrated in-house capabilities that include laboratory screening, product development, testing efficacy in animals pilot and medium scale production. Mootral is a pioneer in developing market mechanisms in markets where there is no obvious payer and is also the author of the world's first carbon credit methodology for enteric fermentation that is now the global standard. Mootral generated and sold the world's first carbon credits from that methodology, using its own technology.

Methane is a major target greenhouse gas and in the 4th protocol report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is recommended to increase from a x23 to x72 multiplier because of the magnitude of its effect relative to carbon dioxide and short longevity in Earth's atmosphere.
