THE MOUTHFULS

A community and a new video social media experience for people who have an interest in expressing themselves to others to drop-in using their smartphones and speak for one minute to a small group of people prompted by a random topic. Most people have interesting opinions or stories to share. Talking about them brings pleasure, but for so many there are not enough occasions. A small group of active listeners in a clever setting provides a safe place to speak and be heard. We want to unleash the p... leasure of being heard by providing the opportunity anytime and anywhere. With Mouthful, people can speak to a low-stakes live audience on a variety of topics. There’s no preparation needed, and they can just drop in and go. The contents are refreshingly spontaneous, authentic and unvarnished. Currently, people are spending 1.5 hours of prime evening time on our prototype week after week. They meet new people, see diverse perspectives, experience belongingness, express themselves openly and to fend off loneliness and boredom. Extroverts love the attention. Introverts build confidence.
