Multicore Photonics specializes in the design and packaging of commercially scalable direct OEM replacement fiber optic sensors and instrumentation using MCF fiber technology, a fiber technology initially developed at CREOL (UCF’s College of Optics and Photonics). Multicore sensors can measure temperature, pressure, chemical, flow, and structural conditions in excess of 1000-degree C and enable Best-in-Class companies to successfully implementing strategies around leveraging advanced asset man... agement capabilities. Asset Performance Management (APM) is a term that is not well defined in the industry. The main goal of APM is to synchronize operations, maintenance, IT, and corporate goals to improve profitability and shareholder value. This requires visibility into all aspects of the asset lifecycle in addition to having real-time information about the asset condition. Multicore Photonics fiber, sensor and interrogation technologies aid in APM’s maximization of RoA (Return on Assets) and helps achieve a competitive advantage while reducing total asset lifecycle costs through Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), analytics, and asset performance monitoring.
