NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR SEARCH AND RESCUE
National Association for Search And Rescue has been around since 1972. NASAR was originally formed to represent State Search and Rescue Coordinators, but has now grown to represent all SAR volunteers and continues to support the State Search and Rescue Coordinators Committee. NASAR uses standards developed by ASTM, NFPA, DHS, FEMA, and other respected bodies to build education courses, publications, and certifications.
