Since NLC is an upper-level degree completion institution, most students have credits from accredited colleges/universities, apprenticeships, or other types of prior learning that can be transferred toward their degree. NLC accepts up to 84 transfer credits toward any of its bachelor's degrees. Fully admitted NLC students with 56 earned or transferred credits may apply for federal aid at NLC. NLC participates in the Federal Pell Grant and Direct Loan programs and offers a variety of scholarships. AFL-CIO union members/families, Working America members, and non-AFL-CIO union members/families receive sizeable tuition discounts.More
