Founded more than 40 years ago, Nebraska Indian Community College has strived to provide post-secondary academics for Native Americans in the Omaha, Santee Sioux, and Winnebago reservations. Nebraska Indian Community College (NICC) – Macy Campus continues its tradition of accessible higher education, offering two-year academics in vocational and academic areas. One of the benefits of attending Nebraska Indian Community College – Macy Campus is the partnerships that the school maintains with... nearby universities. After you’ve spent two years at NICC, you can transfer to any of the following four-year schools: * University of Nebraska – Lincoln * University of Nebraska – Omaha * University of South Dakota * Wayne State College * Bellevue University This provides an excellent opportunity to advance your education further, should you feel the desire to earn a bachelor’s degree. Admissions requirements at NICC include an official high school or GED transcript, an official certificate of tribal enrollment and a $10 admissions fee. Before registering for classes, you must also take a placement test to determine the program that’s right for you. If you’re interested in financial aid, you should also meet with a financial aid officer to complete the application.
