NEW IMAGE DENTAL ACADEMY

New Image Dental Academy, part of the Refresh Dental network, provides an in-depth Dental Assistant certificate program. The purpose of the program is to train those who are interested in the dental field and want to assist dentists in their day-to-day work. The program spans about three months, and classes meet just one day per week on Saturdays. Students are given a curriculum that exposes them to both traditional lectures and labs in which they can apply their knowledge. Students are expec... ted to wear scrubs and white shoes on campus as their school uniforms. The school also has a firm attendance policy: if students miss a day due to unforeseen circumstances, they must make up the class. Tuition includes most of the coursework materials that are needed: books, models, supplies, etc. Financial aid is not offered, but students are welcome to look into private financing options on their own. Admissions to the academy requires that applicants be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and complete a personal interview with the staff. At the end of the program, career services are available to graduates who need them. Although the school advisors cannot guarantee job placement for graduates, they will do their best to help.More
