NFC Forum is a non-profit industry association that consists of companies within the framework of near field communication. Working within the framework of the NFC Forum, member organizations share development, application, and marketing expertise to develop the best possible solutions for advancing the use of near field communication. It provides its members with specifications, application documents, certifications, and branding. Additionally it provides forums, events, liaison and partner events, and an online blog related to its area of focus. The forum is sponsored by renowned companies such as Sony, Nokia, NXP, Visa, NEC, DNP, Google, and more. NFC Forum was founded in 2004 and is based in Massachusetts, the United States.
