Nordic Power Converters has developed a power converter that is five times smaller and lighter and has 2-5 times longer lifetime than current power converters. This technology breakthrough is known as Very High Frequency Switch Mode Power Supplies (VHF SMPS). LED lighting products are powered by electrical power converters (LED drivers), but traditional power converters often cause LED products to fail long before the expected lifetime.
