NORTH LAKE COLLEGE
A two-year public institution that is part of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD), North Lake College has multiple campus locations and educational programs to meet the needs of the Irving community. Students can obtain associate’s degrees or certificates in the following types of fields: * Business Administration * Computer Graphics * Construction Management * Electrical Technology * Mortgage Banking * Real Estate As part of all programs at the school, stu... dents are required to take a set of core classes that ensure they are able to transfer those credits to any public college or university in Texas. Distance education through the DCCCD TeleLearning program is also an option for those who cannot regularly make it to one of the North Lake campuses and require more flexibility with their academics. Anyone who is at least 18 years old and has a high school diploma or GED is welcome to apply for admissions to the school. Tuition rates are reduced for those living in Dallas County. Financial aid (grants, scholarships, work study) is available to help qualifying students pay for tuition expenses. College life at the school gives students many ways to get involved outside of the classroom. There are ample opportunities to spend time at art gallery exhibitions and theatrical performances, and participate in clubs and sports teams.
