Northland Career Center in Platte, Missouri provides career training and opportunities for students to develop skills through on-campus academic activities. Building Trades, Computer Maintenance Technology, Crime Scene Investigation, Culinary Arts and Practical Nursing are some of the majors available at Northland Career Center. Early entry or dual enrollment programs are also available for high school students who would like to get a head start on a career. Since most programs take approxima... tely one year for adult students to complete, students do not need to invest a lot of time to pave the way to a new, in-demand career. As a way to enhance what’s learned in class, Northland also has a number of student organizations, such as SkillsUSA, and other professional and technical clubs, some of which allow students to engage in national skills competitions. With Northland’s open admissions policy, students from all backgrounds may attend as long as they have a high school diploma or GED. Financial aid is available to students who need assistance with tuition costs and meet other requirements.More
