Northwest Technical Institute (NTI) is a school to consider if you want to get into a profession in computer-aided drafting (CAD) or design work. NTI academics are rigorous, and the curriculum for drafting is focused on either the architectural or engineering fields. The institute’s educational partnership with Globe University allows students to earn associate’s degrees in Architectural Drafting and Design as well as Engineering Drafting and Design. Full-time students can complete either ... degree program in less than two years. The school’s facilities are equipped with technologically advanced classrooms in addition to a CAD laboratory, resource center, and wireless network. Special services such as career development, job placement, and tutoring are also available to students. NTI has established relationships with area employers in order to ensure that its drafting training material is relevant. As a result, area employers have frequently hired graduates from the school. As a commuter school, NTI does not have on-campus living, however the admissions office will help students find suitable housing nearby.
