Oeko-Tex - Wikipedia

The Oeko-Tex Association was founded in March 1992 by the Austrian Textile Research Institute (now OETI - Institut fuer Oekologie, Technik und Innovation [de]) and the German Hohenstein Institute. The Swiss textile testing institute Testex joined in 1993. Other European and Asian testing and research institutes joined in the following years.
