OFRA AQUA PLANTS

Ofra Aqua Plants’ broad interest starts with water ecology and aquatic plants, and continues to phytotechnologies in general. The company has its own extensive aquatic plants nurseries as well as a research site. The plants they grow are used in projects they design and build for clients in Israel and abroad, and are also for sale worldwide. They are the leader in the field in Israel, and have designed and built constructed wetlands to treat municipal wastewater, gas stations, military facilit... ies, dairy farms, slaughterhouses, fish farms, landfill leachates, cosmetic factory, and river rehabilitation projects. They are currently designing innovative soil treatment projects. New approaches are needed to deal with the severe water shortage and pollution that Israel faces. Some problems like salinization and Boron surpluses, although not a current urgent issue in some European countries, are crucial in others. The hybrid systems they design, give a solution to these problems and many others, and are extremely efficient and stable, contributing to the environment in general and specifically to the wildlife.More
