OMERS PRIVATE EQUITY
OMERS Private Equity is a private equity firm specializing in buyouts of middle market, later stage, and mature companies. It does not make investments in early stage commitments. OMERS Private Equity seeks to invest in healthcare, business services, consumer, industrials, software, and information technology sectors. It primarily invests globally and in companies based in North America focusing on Canada and United States and Europe, with a particular emphasis on the United Kingdom. OMERS P... rivate Equity invests between $200 million and $700 million in companies with enterprise value between $200 million and $1.5 billion. It prefers to acquire a board seat in its portfolio companies. It may either lead or co-lead the investment. OMERS Private Equity prefers to make control buyouts but also considers joint control with partners. Freddie Payan, Jr. founded OMERS Capital Partners in 2004 that later became OMERS Private Equity. OMERS Private Equity has its headquarters in Toronto in Canada with additional offices in New York City, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Sydney in Australia and London in the United Kingdom. It operates as a subsidiary of OMERS Administration.
