ORBIS INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
Founded in 1989, Orbis is a privately-held global investment firm managing long-only and absolute return strategies. Since the firm's inception, our purpose has been straightforward: to empower our clients by enhancing their saving and wealth. We believe the best way we can do this is by applying our fundamental, long-term and contrarian investment philosophy, and we have structured our firm in a way that requires us to deliver meaningful value-for-money to our clients. Orbis manages approxi... mately US$30 billion of assets that have been entrusted to us by institutions, families and individuals. It employs approximately 400 people in eight countries, who represent more than 35 nationalities, speak more than 15 languages and come from a wide range of educational and professional backgrounds. The firm’s roots lie in South Africa, where our founder, Allan Gray, established Allan Gray Proprietary Limited in 1973 with the same investment philosophy.
