Ospicon identifies a gap in the beginning life of preemies and newborns that parent wants to have Sleep wellness monitoring through the baby growing months but there was no good baby monitor to monitor baby sleep wellness. We created the world first cot-size alkaline battery powered disruptive Baby Sleep wellness monitor for the consumer parent using fiber optics sensor to detect breath count accurately (Singapore hospital validated) to alleviate the Top 3 concerns of a parent during the ba... by's first year; i.e. - Making sure baby is sleeping safely - Developing healthy sleep habits - Coping separation anxiety for both "baby from mum" and "mum from a baby". We understand the parent first, discuss with the maternity hospital clinician staff, then identify the technology and methodology to build our new cot-size disruptive baby sleep wellness monitor. Baby Safety is top of our mind from the beginning - using fiber optics sensing is ideal as it does not emit any form of electromagnetic radiation when a baby rest on it. Only using light as a medium for breath detection, as baby need to sleep on it for up to 16 hours a day from birth and we have it validated in a hospital, who supported us with domain expert advice on how to look after a newborn safely during sleep stage. With our fiber optics, breath detection and algorithm validated in the hospital we are able to alert parent well in advance if their baby does develop breathing irregularities event during sleep. This is not a medical device, it is a disruptive real time baby sleep monitor for the consumer. Our new cot-size product is powered by 4 pcs of AA-size alkaline battery for full portability (roll up into the shape of a yoga mat) plus it takes away the concern of risk of strangulation by cable of DC adaptor when baby grows up and start to turn. Our cot-size baby sleep wellness monitor can be used on the cot-bed for up to 36 months. Our baby sleep wellness monitor with smartphone APP support safety & sleep wellness monitoring at home and with our Cloud we support remote monitoring of sleeping baby for a parent to check on anytime anywhere. Working on a validation program with Hospital Sleep Lab, we innovated an adult sleep analyser lifestyle mat to track Sleep wellness, Snoring, and Apnoea, tracking daily sleep wellness and other uses. More advanced adult sleep analyser mat versions will be considered once the whole validation program is completed in mid-2017.
