In recent years, alternative medicine has become popular as another solution to health problems. One of the most popular forms of alternative medicine is chiropractic, which was founded by D.D. Palmer in the late 19th century. The aforementioned Palmer went on to found Palmer College of Chiropractic, with the mission of developing the field and training future chiropractors. In addition to the Doctor of Chiropractic program, you can also earn an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree. There are also some post-graduate certification programs available: * Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner * Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner * Diplomate American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians * Diplomate of the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology There are a variety of financial aid opportunities at Palmer College, such as the Palmer International Student Grant and the Dr. Frank Sartz Recruitment Scholarships. Several of these awards are specific to the Davenport campus. Academic merit is the criteria for most of the scholarships, though some take special interests into consideration. For example, the applicant must be a resident of a certain state in order to qualify for some financial aid.More
