PAFA educates students in the following certificate and bachelor’s degree programs: Fine Arts, Fluency in a Visual Language, Liberal Arts by Working Artists, and Studio-Centered Creative Training. Academics at PAFA revolve around creativity and expression of student artists. Certain programs are offered in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania. A... large part of learning at the school comes from experiences outside of the classroom. Although there is no on-campus housing, students still have a way to connect and network with each other. College life at PAFA provides ample opportunities for students to achieve a balance between academics and extracurricular involvements through: * Art exhibitions * Health and fitness * Social events * Leadership roles Applicants to the school must put together an artistic portfolio for admissions. The portfolio is the foundation of the application process. Additionally, applicants must submit recommendation letters and transcripts. There is a fee to apply to the academy. Some applicants may need financial assistance as well to help them pay for tuition. PAFA has a wide range of financial aid programs available to those who meet the requirements. For need-based financial aid, applicants must fill out a FAFSA.
