PHILLIPS THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY
Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma, prepares students for different positions within the Christian ministry. Students also engage in in-depth reflection and get the chance to minister to others. Phillips Theological Seminary offers graduate-level academics, including master’s degrees in: * Divinity * Theological Studies * Arts in Ministry and Culture They also award a doctorate in Ministry. The Doctor of Ministry degree features several concentrations, which include Tr... ansformational Leadership for Women in Ministry and Pastoral Leadership in Homiletics. Students in all programs work in local ministries under the supervision of the seminary’s faculty. During their ministerial assignments, they also reflect spiritually on specific issues or themes. Admissions requirements differ with each program. Those seeking entry to the Master’s in Divinity program must have a bachelor’s degree and a GPA of at least 2.5. They will also need to submit an admissions application, with a fee and a personal essay. References are required of all applicants. One reference must come from one’s minister or bishop and the other must come from a professional or academic source. Only applicants from certain denominations are accepted. These denominations are: * Disciples of Christ Church * United Methodist Church * Presbyterian Church * Episcopal Church * Evangelical Lutheran Church of America Phillips Theological Seminary offers tuition payment plans and federal financial aid. A FAFSA and proof of income are required of all financial aid applicants.
