Phoebus Energy is an award-winning cleantech company specializing in water heating and cooling solutions for medium to large commercial facilities. Established in 2007, the company holds several patents and employs a multidisciplinary team of experts in cleantech, applied chemistry, thermodynamics, engineering, software and product development Installed as an add-on to conventional heaters, Phoebus's hybrid system is a retro-fit solution. The technology is based on intelligent algorithms tha... t optimize energy efficiency and reduce pollution for commercial sites with medium to high demand for hot water. These include hotels, sports centers, hospitals, etc. An onsite control system collects and analyzes data, and software uses this data to build a statistical model of forecasted heat generation costs for each of the two energy sources available (solar and conventional fossil fuel). The control system then responds by using the more cost effective heat source. Its solution has been successfully deployed in over 100 facilities across the globe, including prominent hotel chains such as Sheraton, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn – resulting in tens of millions of dollars in annual savings.
