POWER GRID CO OF BANGLADESH
Power Grid Co of Bangladesh is engaged in planning, promotion, operation, and maintenance of power transmission system throughout Bangladesh. The company operates transmission lines, sub-stations, load dispatch centers and communication facilities. The company operates and maintains approximately 950 circuit kilometers of approximately 400 kilovolts transmission line, approximately 3,658 circuit kilometers of approximately 230 kilovolts transmission line and approximately 8,086.3 circuit kilometers of over 141.6 kilovolts transmission line. It operates approximately one high-voltage direct current (HVDC) station of approximately 500 megawatts capacity. It also operates grid substations, including switching stations.
