Power of the Dream Ventures, Inc. is a leading technology holding company. We identify and harness the unique technological prowess of Hungary's high-tech industry, turning promising ideas and ready to market products/technologies into global industry leaders. We focus on developing, acquiring, licensing, or co-developing technologies that originate exclusively in Hungary that are in prototype stage based on existing patents; in prototype stage prior to patenting; existing products that require ... expansion capital to commercialize; emerging science and high-technology research projects that require help in patenting, developing the product and marketing, University spin-off technologies, and ideas from the very early stage that represent "disruptive technologies." We primarily focus on providing enabling solutions in the fields of environmental technologies, power generation and storage, software products and services, biotechnology, medical devices and what we call 'disruptive technologies.' To date the primary focus of Central European countries has been to develop a solid infrastructure required to a market economy. Due to the high perceived risk of these economies, institutional support for start-up and expansion stage technology companies has been lacking. With several Central European economies expected to join the European Monetary Union by 2016, Hungary, as one of the most developed CE countries, is moving from a transition to a converging economy. With the continued stabilization the time is ripe for a local entity with high level technology skills and connections to acquire idea-, start-up-, expansion stage, and mature high technologies or companies developing such technologies. Considering the historical financial performance of technologies invented by people from Hungarian, we estimate that the country has a yet to be recognized technological market value in excess of a billion dollars annually. Given the current lack of real capital players we believe we will be (are) instrumental in unlocking this untapped market. We estimate that up to 50 quality acquisition opportunities are available in Hungary on an annual basis, of which presently only a few are invested in. Through a continued journey of discovery, we seek to identify and manage those innovations that are commercially viable and can provide the greatest return to our shareholders. One of the most important lessons we have learned is that "ground breaking technologies" have an unlimited marketplace.
