Project Ara is a development effort initiative of Google’s Advanced Technology & Projects (ATAP) group that aims to develop an open hardware platform for creating modular smartphones. It aims to enable users to create modular smartphones that are precisely tailored to their functional and aesthetic preferences. Customers can buy complete Ara phones, configure them from scratch, and buy additional modules through the Ara Module Marketplace.
