Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (RRC) is a seminary in the tradition of Reconstructionist Judaism. Its academics are geared specifically toward that tradition, offering the following degree programs: * MA in Hebrew Letters * MA in Jewish Studies * Doctor of Hebrew Letters The MA in Hebrew Letters is part of the rabbinical program. After completing the five-to-six years of study required to earn the title of rabbi, you will also earn this degree. Contrastingly, the MA in Jewish Stu... dies is a standard, more academically oriented master’s degree, which does not confer the title of rabbi. The Doctor of Hebrew Letters degree is technically a joint program. Upon finishing your master’s at RRC, you can go on to study PhD coursework at another university, eventually submitting to RRC a thesis based on your doctoral dissertation. Numerous financial aid opportunities are available at Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. The school offers fellowships, loans and scholarships based on both merit and need to assist with the cost of tuition. Admissions requirements at RRC include official transcripts, GRE scores, a personal statement and three letters of recommendation. Of the three, one must be from a professor and one from a rabbi.
