Solestial (formerly Regher Solar) has developed technology to make silicon solar cells thin, flexible and radiation hard for use in space. This allows us to deliver a solar power solution for spacecraft that is 1/10 the cost of incumbent technology. As importantly, using silicon also allows us to scale capacity quickly, leveraging the terrestrial solar learning curve to more easily meet the huge volume of demand created by launch costs tumbling. This is a $20B market opportunity, powering comme... rce, communications, and exploration in space. Current space solar manufacturers simply can’t meet the volume or price requirements of “New Space” with standard “III-V” (exotic materials) technology. Silicon-based technology is required for scale and we have a multi-year head start on the competition. Solestial has won >$2M in government grants over the last 3 years and has >$100M of commercial LOIs signed.
