ROBERTO-VENN SCHOOL OF LUTHIERY
For more than 40 years, Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery has been providing instruction in the specialized craft of guitar building. Roberto-Venn has such a good reputation in the field, that it also attracts students from numerous locations beyond its Phoenix campus in Arizona. Roberto-Venn’s program is five months long and encompasses everything from the fundamentals of guitar making and repair to finishing techniques. Students hail from different backgrounds. Some are musicians who would l... ike to know how to build and fix their own guitars, while others plan to work expressly in the field of guitar building and repair. Students also hail from different places, with many of them coming from different states. Many even relocate from other countries just to attend Roberto-Venn. Applicants will need to submit an application and a copy of their high school transcripts or GED scores for admissions. The school participates in federal financial aid programs. This means that qualifying students may receive Pell grants, loans or a combination of these to cover tuition costs. A FAFSA is required of all financial aid applicants.
