ROCK DEFORMATION RESEARCH
Rock Deformation Research is a spin out company from the University of Leeds. The group is led by Professor Rob Knipe, and is based on knowledge transfer and application of research developed over a 20 year period. We have a Leeds based staff of 22, as well as a US office based in Dallas. Our philosophy has been to conduct high quality consultancy and research to fully utilise the expansive data sets routinely collected by industry and to rapidly apply new concepts to reduce uncertainties and ri... sk. The group has taken a multi-disciplinary approach to the problem of fluid flow and deformation in rocks and has provided new workflows , as well as creating new databases and risk schemes for the industry, that have helped in exploration, appraisal and production of oil and gas fields and mineral deposits.
