Incorporated in 1993 and promoted by Mr. UmeshBalani, the Rotomag Group is amongst the leading specialty electric motors manufacturing enterprises in India. Rotomag, the flagship Company of the Group is amongst the leading manufacturers of solar pumps based on advanced BLDC technology. Rotomag also manufactures specialty DC motors and drives for use in battery operated equipment and exports over 60% of its production. It has a JV with an Italian company, Motive Srl to manufacture industrial AC m... otors, gearboxes and geared motors. The Group has three plants located at Anand, Gujarat, with an installed capacity of 195,000 electric motors and 16,000 pumps. The Group’s product offerings focus on applications that require efficiency, reliability, and are customised for specialized applications like solar, alternate energy, textile, construction, Material handling, machine tools, HVAC and plastics/packaging industries. An investment by BanyanTree will allow the Company to do incremental capex and fulfill working capital needs. BanyanTree has a representation on the Board. An investment by BanyanTree will be utilized towards setting up new facilities. BanyanTree has a representation on the Board.
