ROUND TABLE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

Former Bank of America chief investment officer Ian G. Banwell today announced his intention to form Round Table Investment Management, an alternative investment management company. Round Table Investment Management will begin operations in late 2007. Bank of America will take a minority equity stake in Banwell's new firm, intends to seed several of the funds and will serve in an observer capacity on Round Table's advisory board. Round Table will be managed by Banwell in partnership ... with Bob Miller and Jason Osier. David Lewis, currently a member of Moore & Van Allen, PLLC, will serve as Chief Operating Officer. This partnership brings together more than 50 years of investment management experience across multiple asset classes. Banwell has served as Bank of America's Chief Investment Officer since 2000, and joined the company in 1998. Banwell also served as chairman of the bank's Asset-Liability Committee and its Equity Risk Forum. He has also been a member and past chairman of the Treasury's Borrowing Advisory Committee. Miller served as a principal risk-taker in Bank of America's Corporate Investments group for nearly 20 years. Osier, a stand-out performer in the bank's equity business, joined in 1998. Round Table's investment strategy incorporates in-depth analysis of macro economic factors, quantitative disciplines and company-specific research. The firm will offer the resources of seasoned investment managers with experience across a variety of strategies and asset classes, and a seasoned approach to both investment and business management.More
