SALEM HOUSING

Salem Housing serves a broad population by leveraging its planning, community building, and development for neighborhood rehabilitation, leadership development, housing, and economic growth.  They work to rehabilitate neighborhoods, provide housing, and educate families about homeownership through partnerships and collaborations with organizations, businesses, and the private and public sectors. Businesses, residents, churches, neighborhood block groups, and organizations are given opportunit... ies and services to solve problems and develop new ideas and solutions in order to reinvigorate their areas. Many of these services help people with the kinds of partnerships they need to complete initiatives, such as finding small grants to help fund them. They emphasize communication as a tool to establish a stronger neighborhood, whether it's at a picnic or social gathering, or during training on community building. They offer community meeting spaces and event venues, as well as the resources, tools, and courses necessary to recruit volunteers, plan fundraising events, and manage idle land and assets.
