SalonAddict is a Dublin-based web technology start-up which develops and markets an innovative online service which allows users to find and book hair and beauty appointments online. SalonAddict provides salons with an online platform to receive and manage appointments made by users on SalonAddict.ie and SalonAddict.co.uk. Users benefit from a search by area and service layout and from helpful third-party salon reviews made by other SalonAddict users. Appointments can be made online by cho... osing a suitable salon, service, date and time and by paying a reservation deposit on the website. Salons use the platform to entice additional bookings and often provide exclusive discounts on their services for sale on SalonAddict. The company was founded in Dublin in 2011 and expanded its service to the much larger UK market in mid-2012. SalonAddict focuses on providing the best online booking technologies to salons and in 2013 the company launched its “Reservation Widget,” which allows salons to manage and receive online bookings made on their own websites. The new product has had a very successful launch in Ireland with some top salon names already subscribing to the technology. UK launch of the “Reservation Widget” is slated for March 2013.More
