SAN FRANCISCO SPCA
San Francisco SPCA is a community-supported, non-profit animal welfare organization that aims to save and protect animals, provide care and treatment, advocate on their behalf, and enhance the human-animal bond. It saves homeless cats and dogs, and works to end animal abandonment. The organization is focused on three areas: prevention, rescue, and education. Its services and offerings include free and low-cost spay-neuter, behavior services and resources, veterinary care, expanded trap-neuter-r... eturn, adoptions, post-adoption support, foster and fospice programs, events online and in traditional media, after-school and summer programs, animal assisted therapy training and visitation programs, an advocacy department that identifies critical animal welfare issues. San Francisco SPCA was founded in 1868 and is based in San Francisco, California.
