Scan Subsea ASA is a newly listed company on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The company consists of two subsidiaries; Scanrope Subsea AS and Scan Maritime AS. Scanrope Subsea manufactures power cables and umbilicals and large steel and synthetic mooring lines and other specialised rope products for the offshore industry. Scanrope Subsea has invested heavily in recent years in the largest and most modern manufacturing facility in the industry, exploiting its major assets of the finest engineeri... ng know-how as well as a prime geographical location. Having the factory placed in a sheltered seaside location, with its own deep water berth, allows calls by ocean going freighters and installation vessels right to the factory door. The Company has an extensive track record as supplier of large offshore contracts world-wide. Scan Maritime provides surveying and consulting services to the offshore and maritime industry including public services. The main area of services are industrial surveying and dimensional control, high precision underwater dimensional control using photogrammetry, survey and calibration of vessel reference systems, seabed survey and charting using multibeam echo sounders. Scan Maritime consulting services include software development, processing and visualization of digital terrain models, quality control and client representative for seabed survey operations. The company has developed and delivers Position Monitoring Systems for oil tankers and various specialized targets and tools for surveying instruments.
