SCHENECTADY COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, the Schenectady County Community College is an institution that can back up its claims of quality with a trusted name. SCCC academics cover more than 40 different programs designed both for transfer to a four-year university and for career preparation. Early admissions may also be available for high school juniors. The Schenectady County Board of Representatives formed SUNY Schenectady County Community College on January 26, 1967 and then purchased the former Van Curler hotel which required renovations so that classes could commence in the building in 1969.
