SCHOOGLINK is a start-up founded (in August 2016) and funded by IIT alumni with a vision towards providing affordable quality education using technology as scale to the 85% rural belts of India using an unique online-offline smart class room model. Note that 85% of the 1.45 Million schools in India lie in rural belts and 90% of the 260 Million school going students go to various State Boards. However, most of the top (well funded) EdTech companies continue to focus on the urban 10% for immedia... te short term returns. This rural belt therefore continues to be a largely unregulated/untapped market for the EdTech industry primarily because pure online EdTech content (without a teacher interface) cannot serve this market and in there lies Schooglink's USP. Schooglink team has been on the ground in rural parts of India since the past four years and their "SCHOOGLINK GRASSROOT CENTRES" have successfully completed four years of operations in multiple rural blocks with outstanding results. Schooglink today has 25 Grassroots Centres across 4 States of India and 750,000+ downloads of its PATHYACHARYA App (with average user time of 32 min 50 sec). Schooglink has successfully raised 10.0 Crore INR so far (IIT alumni network primarily) and is now looking to raise $5 M for expansion to 200 Grassroot Centres.More
