With its NewSQL database technology, Scientel introduced multi-modeling as well as core-based computing. Multi-modeling allows SQL and NoSQL data types to be stored in a single DB under distinctly different data stores, saving on data storage. Core-based computing allows its Gensonix database to execute on a single core as opposed to a whole server, saving on server nodes. Scientel is proceeding to commercialize this technology and has developed server appliances that can run up to 3500 database compute nodes on a single cluster; one of the largest in the industry. It is one of the very few server appliances that can handle an exabyte(1 Billion GB) of data making it the Ultimate Big Data solution. These appliances utilize large number of CPU cores and thus Scientel has become an attractive target to CPU and server companies.
