SCRATCH
Scratch allows young people to program their own video games, animations and interactive art and share them with others on the web. Scratch is freely available on Windows, Mac and Linux. The Scratch Online Community is the website where more than 1.3 million projects (Oct 2010) have been shared by thousands of children from around the world. Close to 1,500 projects get uploaded every day and the site receives about 500,000 visitors a month. The source code of Scratch is open and available... to anyone, however, its license allows only for non-commercial use. The binary version can be used in any form. Scratch is a research project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Laboratory, developers of the LEGO Mindstorms, the Intel Computer Clubhouse network and the Playful Invention Company.,
