SEED - SUSTAINABLE ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
SEED is a social impact and benefit corporation combating food security and impacting climate change with an easy-to use, automatic irrigation system that integrates with a soil carbon sensor. The SEED system is run by a tiny microcontroller and powered by alternative energy sources that rely upon Bluetooth technology and moisture sensors to allow users to monitor and manage their plants from anywhere in the world. Under a cross-subsidy model, for each system sold, support is provided to an urban or smallhold farmer in a developing community.
