ShopAlike is an ecommece platform that brings together products from different online stores in the same place. This allows users to find everything they want with just a few clicks and from the comfort of their own home. The portal is managed by the company Visual Meta GmbH, which is part of the German international media group Axel Springer, based in Berlin (Germany). In January 2009, Robert M. Maier and Johannes Schaback founded Visual Meta GmbH. With the main idea of ​​having 'all stor... es in one place', in April of that same year, LadenZeile.de, the original German version of ShopAlike.es, comes to light. At the beginning, the Rocket Internet startup incubator was the main investor of the project, until the acquisition by Axel Springer in December 2011. After the commercial operation, the Visual Meta radius expanded rapidly to operate in 18 countries under three different names: LadenZeile, ShopAlike and UmSoLugar, employing more than 300 people in different fields such as Marketing, Sales or computer programming.
