In the tradition of the Franciscan Catholics, Silver Lake College promotes rigorous study and a high level of intellectual development in the classroom. Outside of the classroom, Silver Lake believes in and fosters a sense of community, helping students to get to know one another. Located in the town of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Silver Lake College offers bachelor’s and graduate degrees, both through traditional and accelerated adult-learning programs. Academics encompass such fields of study as ... Art Education, Computer Science, English, Human Resource Management, Information Science and Technology, Music, Nursing and Special Education. Since the school has deliberately kept its student population small, classes remain intimate and present opportunities for discussion and faculty-student interaction. Because of its size, students at Silver Lake College get to know each other quickly, making activities outside of class even more enjoyable. Some of the extracurricular options include a campus ministry, student publications and various student clubs. Though it is not guaranteed, a majority of Silver Lake students receive some form of financial aid, so tuition is usually not a barrier to attending. Students who wish to apply must submit transcripts and ACT or SAT scores to the admissions department.More
