SINGLE PARENT SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Single Parent Scholarship Fund helps single parents in Northwest Arkansas build better futures for their families by providing direct financial assistance as well as supportive services to those pursuing higher education in Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington Counties. Poverty is a reality for many families in Northwest Arkansas and across the state. According to recent studies, the majority of Arkansans live at or below the federal poverty line. Arkansas has the nation's fourth highest rate of child poverty. According to data, one significant factor contributing to this problem is the head of household's lack of access to higher education.
