Skylens was set up over 10 years ago and is run by a team of qualified photographers (BA hons / HND) to provide quality professional aerial photography and video using lightweight UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and telescopic masts . They were the first to operate a quad-copter UAV (Microdrone) commercially in the UK and now offer a professional video service using their “state of the art” Octocopters. They hold an enhanced CAA "Permission For Aerial Work" and the required BNUCs c... ertification to operate SUAS (UAV's) commercially in UK airspace. Their PFAW allows us to undertake night-flying with all their UAV systems and also authorises us to fly within reduced distances to people and property, not under their control with their 0-7 KG and also 7-20KG category aircraft. They have over 40 years experience in aerial photography using full size aircraft, both fixed wing and helicopters. For shoots in London they use aircraft that have CAA permission and exemptions to operate at heights ideal for lower level views.
