SMARTOPTICS
Smartoptics designs and enhances existing optical fiber optic networks through CWDM and DWDM based solutions. WDM stands for “Wavelength Division Multiplexing”, Coarse or Dense depending on the amount of data. CWDM allows up to 18 traffic channels, DWDM allows up to 80 with capability of longer distances. It’s a technology that increases bandwidth by sending different data streams at different frequencies over a single dark fiber network. Their solutions focus on providing simple and cost effective enterprise grade solutions instead of complicated telecom grade solutions that are over the top in terms of price and complexity.
