smsPREP helps students study for standardized tests by texting practice questions and other study materials to their phone. Students subscribe to smsPREP and receive unlimited access to study materials sent via text message. At sign-up students choose the subjects they want to focus on and the time(s) of day they want to receive a new text. smsPREP then texts them practice questions, flashcards, and study tips at the desired time(s). The questions are multiple-choice and resemble actual ... test questions; when students respond, they receive an answer explanation detailing why their answer is right or wrong. Students can request more questions at any time by replying N. smsPREP is not a stand-alone, comprehensive test prep program, but is designed to be a supplement to whatever test prep a student is already doing; it's a way to gain extra familiarity with the exam or to focus on weak subjects. smsPREP currently offers a single subscription for both the SAT and ACT exams.
