Sequoia Capital is a venture capital firm that does seed, early stage venture, later stage venture, and private equity investments. It is focused primarily on companies engaged in developing mobile software and enterprise software. It is known as one of the highest-caliber venture firms, and one of Silicon Valley's most influential venture-capital firms by Wall Street Journal. It estimates that 19% of the NASDAQ's value is made up of firms they have funded. Sequoia Capital was established in November, 1972, based in Menlo Park, California. It was founded by Don Valentine.
