SNTGN Transgaz, state owned company is the technical operator of the National Gas Transmission System (NTS) which ensures the transmission, under safe, efficient and competitive conditions, of over 90% of the natural gas consumed in Romania, in accordance with the EU standards of performance and environment. The company primary activities are the domestic transportation and international transit of natural gas. The company is also responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Romanian nat... ional gas transportation system. Additionally, it is involved in the research and design activities in the field of equipment for the natural gas industry. 58.5097% of the shares are held by the Romanian State represented by the Government through the General Secretariat of the Government and 41.4903% free-float.
