Sonemat Limited exists to provide ultrasonic testing equipment and measurement solutions to science and industry. Initially formed in 2005, Sonemat specialises in a number of specialist ultrasonic methods with particular expertise in non-contact ultrasonics including laser based ultrasound and EMATs. Sonemat has taken some of the novel laboratory based developments from leading research labs and has packaged them in a format suitable for industrial use. Some of our low cost portable EMAT systems... are routinely used in industrial inspection of boiler tubes and have a vastly superior sensitivity to alternative systems allowing the user to inspect pipework that does not have the highly favourable oxide coating that rival systems require in order to work.
