Southern Insurance Underwriters, Inc. (SIU), based in Alpharetta, Georgia, is a certified Managing General Agency serving independent agents throughout the southeast for over fifty years. On July 1, 1964, W.C. Duesenberg, Sr. purchased the Atlanta branch office of Kurt Hitke & Company and created Southern Insurance Underwriters, Inc. Building on the foundation started by Mr. Hitke, SIU specialized in Non-Standard Auto coverage and other specialty coverages including Commercial Trucking and Seni... or Drivers.
